Fantastic experience with Seawind Aviation This trip with Seawind Aviation was everything I hoped it would be and more. We are a family of 4 with two "kids" of 22 and 19. I booked this many months ago as part of an epic trip across the US culminating with a 10-day cruise to Alaska. Through the booking process, Lesley and her colleagues were fantastic and provided a view (not a recommendation) on which trip to book for the best chance to see bears. I booked the Prince of Wales trip but we ended up at Traitors Cove as the chances of seeing bears were better for us. Lesley met us in Ketchikan and helpfully hung around for a couple who were late getting off the ship due to a mix-up in timings. Lesley took us straight to the float plane and boarded us. I think we were the first of the day as our guide ( a lovely lady named Kim) also flew with us. The flight was fantastic and was the first time any of us had been on a floatplane. The landing was very smooth and we docked at the dock. Kim drove us to to the top of the trailhead and we talked us through some of the flora and fauna as we walked down to the viewing area. As soon as we got there we spotted a bald eagle in a tree and when we looked down at the creek we saw our first bear. We were lucky to 6 or 7 bears including a mum with two cubs. The whole thing was amazing. We did not feel rushed and we spent about an hour at the viewing platform. On the way back, Kim took us up to a scenic spot to see the lake where the Salmon were heading too - this in itself looked like something out of a Bob Ross painting.. Kim then took us back to the dock and we waited for our plane to come in and take us back. The whole thing was just fantastic. Everyone from Seawind were awesome and very friendly and, alhough they would have been busy all day, we never felt rushed at all... an absolutely outstanding trip and one I'd recommend to anyone.

An Unforgettable Experience! Great company! There was a bit of a change in the schedule and the company did an amazing job communicating with us. Now the trip itself was amazing, our pilot went above and beyond to get us some great views and memories. An unforgettable experience!

Loved it! Allow a few hours for this, but it’s so worth it! Made our trip to Alaska. Max our pilot was fantastic, pointing out spots on the way and looking for animals on the flight, the scenery was absolutely incredible. If you are considering this it’s definitely worth the money and you will not regret it! Highlight of our trip for sure! The playlist as we were flying was awesome too. Thank you!

Manifest Glory!!! An experience that is well worth the money. The float plane ride over land and sea was breathtaking . Then once we gracefully landed, we were ushered into a rainforest blanketed with all colors of green, not 5 minutes into our adventure we saw a very large Sow, only 10 feet away… thrilling in its self, but it was nothing compared to the view at the fish ladder!!! We lost track of how many bear we saw! At least 10? With reoccurring action scenes of mamma bears with cubs, big ol male bears, and juveniles, all catching and eating their abundant salmon. Overhead a bald eagle came in for a landing to eat his fair share! God’s creation was in its manifest glory! Truly a blessing!!

Great view of Mystic Fjord Wonderful views and much cheaper than cruise ships. The take off and landing on the water is a once in a life time opportunity. Steve was our pilot and a great tour guide
