About SeaWind Aviation of Ketchikan Alaska

SeaWind Aviation is an Alaskan family operation committed to providing the finest Alaska flightseeing, Misty Fjords, and Alaska bear viewing tours in the state’s magnificent Southeast panhandle.

Steve Kamm was born and raised in Ketchikan Alaska. He has more than 23 years of experience flying commercially for the largest air taxis in Southeast Alaska and has logged more than 17,000 hours of commercial flight time in seaplanes.

SeaWind’s aircraft has upgraded its avionics to include FAA certified, state-of-the-art Chelton Flight systems navigational equipment. This is really cutting edge navigation technology all designed to ensure the highest degree of safety for everyone onboard our plane - including your pilot! Steve is also a second-generation Alaskan pilot. He gets his love of flying from his father, Cliff Kamm, who logged approximately 40 years of safe commercial flying in this region, in both seaplanes and helicopters.

Steve's great grandfather, E.C. Phillips came to Ketchikan in 1926 from Grimsby, England. He worked on the Ketchikan cold storage dock before founding his own fish processing plant, E.C. Phillips and Son, in 1950. E.C. Phillips and Son is still going strong today as it serves the fish processing needs for all Ketchikan fishermen.

Lesley Kamm runs SeaWind Aviation's ground operations, reservations and marketing. She is also a mother to 3 little girls, Kendall 6, Shelby 4, and Stevie 2.

All tours include pick-up and drop-off at the Ketchikan Visitors Information Center (the building behind our courtesy van) in front of our "Liquid Sunshine Gauge" located on the cruise ship dock.
